THE CALL
OF THE
MOUNTAIN

Via ferratas

You link the carabiner to the steel rope for the last time, and then it's done. You are standing on the summit cross with your colleagues! The view that extends over the many other Alpine peaks and downwards into the valleys with their tiny houses and roads is certainly impressive! To have reached the first peak with the help of a via ferrata is always a special team-building experience that you will be slow to forget. Via ferratas are most definitely not just for pros. You don't have to be super fit to go on great tours along these paths. Have a go. It's worth it!

Details

  • Your mountain guide picks you up from the hotel. The equipment is issued at this point, so you can pack away your climbing harness, via ferrata set and helmet in your rucksack.
  • A short shuttle ride takes you a step closer to the mountain.
  • Then there is a small climb up to the rock, mostly along hiking paths, which you can follow comfortably up to the entrance to the via ferrata. The length of the journey can vary a lot. Sometimes it only takes a few minutes, but other times it can take an hour.
  • At the entrance to the via ferrata, the mountain guide explains how to put on the climbing harness properly and the correct way to fasten the via ferrata set. Then you only have to put your helmet on and you are kitted out perfectly!
  • At the start of the tour, your mountain guide explains how to connect the special carabiner properly and gives you a few tips on how to conserve your energy while climbing. This is where it gets exciting! The via ferratas stretch along the rock over rock ledges, ladders and steel pins and, in some circumstances, depending on the path, you arrive at a beautiful peak with a great view. And maybe you'll have time to stop on the mountain for some proper refreshments on the way back? You have certainly earned it!
